Feeds4all banner script improved

Today the banner script (to show that your feed was submitted to Feeds4all) is improved.
In case the Feeds4all server is not available the ALT-text is served now within the Feeds4all image place holder. In this way your webdesign will not be disturbed in case of outage.

Period of outage on december 29th 2005

On december 29th between 21:52 and 22:02 GTM Feeds4all and FeedAlley suffered from outage due to technical problems with the service.

As far as technically possible a maintenance page will be served during such events. Yesterday however this was not possible.

Although we know it would be appreciated, it is not possible for us to inform the webmaster or managing editor individually about unavailability due to maintenance or other technical issues.

Performance improvements & 'most popular feeds' list shortened

Due to some important changes in algorithms the Feeds4all perfomance improved quite a lot :-)

The linkpopularity list is shortened from 'top 250' to 'top 100'.
